Question: Critical Hits
Hi all,
i have a problem, plz help me out. I wanna make a dervish build, it has 14 scythe mastery. These are the skills (i'm not that handy at making guru threads, so plz exuse me for this): Wounding Strike, Chilling Victory, and now i am thinking about the next skills. Or i make myself a secondary Sin and use Malicious Strike, and Victorious Sweep and Mystic Sweep Or i make myself secondary Warrior, Wild Blow, and Keen Chop, and Victorious Sweep. Can someone who is better in Maths than i am calculate wich build the most dmg deals plz? More information u can find at wiki : damage calculation and Critical hits. You don't have to tell me how much damage each build do against foes with (x) armor lvl, but that would be great xD And if someone knows a better forum to ask this, plz let me know. Keen Chop won't work if you are using a Scythe. Keen Chop is an Axe attack, and would require you to have an axe equipped.
Malicious Strike would work though. Without Critical Strikes, it would do +10 damage, and cause a critical hit, which would deal the max damage for the Scythe (41). Wild Blow is a No Attribute skill, so it works with any melee weapon, and does not add damage, but always results in a critical hit. This is good not only for the max damage on the Scythe, but to remove stances an enemy may be using. I'll let someone more adept at damage calculation post numbers for you. |

I can't be bothered working out the specifics of changing damage as weapon mastery increases, but criticals result in using the maximum number in the damage range as well as sqrt2 more damage (41.42% more damage), so at 12 Scythe Mastery, a Wild Blow would cause 57.98 (rounded to 58) damage against a 60 armor target.
As armor goes up, this base damage will go down, but +damage will always ignore armor. |
